You’d think that in a city the size of Manchester you’d see a selection of different faces every time you went out. This isn’t the case though, and even when you go into different bars you’re almost certainly guaranteed to see a face you’ve seen around the city before.

This is one reason why I try to avoid Manchester at all costs nowadays.

I think I’d actually die if I had to do this now though, and my hangovers just seem to get worse with each week that passes.

I think it definitely must just be old age getting the better of me, as I still drinking the same amount… I think!

Although I still live for my Saturday nights out, nowadays I’d much rather spend the night in a nice bar- a bar which isn’t dead but which isn’t full of chavs spilling their 50p shots all over the place!

I also try and go to bars which have an older clientele nowadays aswell, as although I’m still in my twenties myself, there are some seriously immature youngsters around!!

I’m more of an urban girl myself so don’t really go to Sankeys-style clubs (I think the first and last time I went to Sankeys was 10 years ago) but I just don’t understand these people.

Why would you go out and get into such a disgusting state that you spend the night in A&E rather than on the dancefloor??

I also feel sorry for those who paid in and had to go home early. Disgraceful behaviour.

The thing is, I think it’s so hard to find decent nightspots nowadays, especially round Manchester, and there’s nothing worse than waking up on a Sunday morning having spent lots of money and with the hangover to end all hangovers having had a rubbish night!

It’s a bit of a double-edged sword though, as over time, going to the same place every Saturday can get seriously boring- and boredom definitely isn’t a good recipe for a good night out.
